In 1921, Hangzhou Large Iron-smelting Works was born in No. 19 yard of Daomao Lane in Hangzhou. It mainly produces Suziche and Bingsiche, and has made important contributions to the prosperity of the silk palace and the development of national industry. This is the predecessor of Hangji.
In 1951, Hangzhou Municipal People’s Government purchased the Private Hangzhou Large Iron-smelting Works which was then renamed as “Public Hangzhou Iron Works”. At that time, new China had just been founded, and many things of the party and state construction were waiting to be set up. 24 workers undertook to manufacture cocoon drying equipment, eight horsepower diesel engine and other farm tools without drawings and crafts. The output value of that year was 15400 yuan. Although it has only such a small family background, it is one of the birthplaces of Hangzhou's machinery industry and the cradle of Hangzhou's machine tool industry.
Through the first five year plan, new China initially established an independent industrial system, which laid a preliminary foundation for socialist industrialization. In November 1957, with the approval of Zhejiang Provincial Department of industry, Hangzhou Iron Works was renamed Hangzhou Machine Tool Factory, and was officially designated as the designated professional R & D and manufacturing factory of surface grinder by the state.
On January 30, 1959, Hangji successfully manufactured the first M7130 surface grinder in Zhejiang Province, with an output of more than 100 in that year, and began to export the next year. While developing its own machine tool business, Hangji has created a certain amount of foreign exchange income for the country.
In December 1978, the Third Plenary Session of the 11th CPC Central Committee was held, and China entered a new period of reform and opening up and socialist modernization. With the pace of reform and opening up, Hangji has entered the fast lane of development. In the ten years from 1982 to 1992, Hangji carried out a series of reforms: It took the lead in carrying out the system of responsibility for contracted management of enterprises and the system of contracted management of factory directors. After the implementation of contract management, the enterprise has fully and over fulfilled the target and base specified in the contract after four years of efforts. At the end of 1992, in response to the measures put forward by the CPC Central Committee on the establishment of the supporting reform of the socialist market economic system, Hangji, as a pilot unit of the "two systems" reform in Zhejiang Province, became the first batch of workers in Zhejiang Province to implement the full labor contract system, including the factory leaders.
In 2001, Hangji was listed as a pilot enterprise for restructuring by Zhejiang Province and Hangzhou city. It took the lead in restructuring and reorganizing, and jointly established Hangzhou Machine Tool Group Co., Ltd. with Hangzhou No.1 Radio Special Equipment Factory. The nature of the enterprise changed from "national" to "private", and established a modern enterprise management system that can better adapt to market competition. Through the four major structural adjustments of products, production, industry and property rights, Hangji went ahead On the fast track of development, all indicators have reached new heights year after year.
In June 2006, in response to the overall layout requirements of Hangzhou's economic development, Hangzhou Hangji and Zhejiang Economic Construction Investment Co., Ltd. jointly built Hangzhou Hangji Machine Tool Co., Ltd. in Lin'an Economic Development Zone, which moved all the main business of machine tools into the new R & D and manufacturing base of large CNC grinding machines. At this stage, Hangzhou machine has made significant progress in the research and development of large-scale CNC special equipment, and successfully developed MKL7150×16/2 seven axis five linkage blade crown arc forming grinder, MKLD7140 CNC double head forming grinder, MKH450 forming grinding center, HZ-078CNC,HZ-088CNC large-scale linear rolling guide grinder, and end face grinding machine for automobile steering gear A number of high-end CNC machine tools, such as tooth forming grinder. It provides key machine tools and equipment for China's aerospace, military, automotive and other industries.
In 2008, China entered the "era of high-speed railway". In the face of the demand for key equipment for high-speed railway construction, Hangji mobilized capable forces, through the unremitting tackling of "5 + 2, white + black", completed the independent R & D and design of mkb7025 high-speed railway network CNC track plate grinder in a very short period of time, and provided 12 key equipment for the construction of high-speed railway lines such as Beijing Shanghai high-speed railway and Shijiazhuang Wuhan high-speed railway. It provides effective assistance for the rapid development of China's high-speed rail industry.
In 2014, according to the needs of national space exploration, it was specially designed for the major science and technology equipment project of the Ministry of Science and Technology of 2009: 4 meters aspherical optical components processing equipment technology and development HZ-091 optical element forming grinding machine tools and CNC HZ - 092 optical element lapping and polishing machine and other series of large aspheric optical element processing equipment technology projects to break the foreign monopoly and blockade, gave a big boost to the optical manufacturing to high grade, high level and high added value direction. HZ-092 optical element grinding and polishing machine was rated as "Top 10 Independent Innovation" products by China Machine Tool Industry Association.
In 2018, the company implemented strategic restructuring and started the construction of a new intelligent manufacturing base in Pujiang, and the intelligent manufacturing base was officially launched in October 2020. According to the national strategic deployment of "Made in China 2025" and "5G+ Industrial Internet" and the company's development direction of high-end, intelligent, green and service-oriented enterprises, Hangji Pujiang Intelligent Manufacturing Base has built an internationally leading high-end precision grinder Internet of Things factory based on the construction of "5G+ High Precision Grinder Cloud Manufacturing".
