In 1921

In Hangzhou Dao Mao Lane 19 courtyard, Hangzhou Large Iron-smelting Works was born.

In 1951

Hangzhou Municipal People's Government purchased Large Iron-smelting Works and named it "Hangzhou Iron Works".

In 1954

In April 1954, the first Z512-1 bench drill was successfully trial-produced.

In 1957

Renamed as "Hangzhou Machine Tool Factory", it has become a national designated professional manufacturer of flat grinding.

In 1959

In January 1959, the first M7130 surface grinder in Zhejiang Province was successfully manufactured.

In 1965

The MM7132 precision horizontal shaft rectangular table surface grinder independently designed and developed has been successfully manufactured, which has laid the foundation for the development of high precision and ultra-high precision surface grinder, and also laid the position of Hangzhou's ability to develop and manufacture precision machine tools in the minds of domestic users.

In 1979

Hangji successfully developed HZ-150 manual grinding, that year to achieve batch export.

In 1982

Hangji was identified as the national key backbone enterprise by the Ministry of Machinery Industry.

In the late 1980s and early 1990s, HZ-64 series of flat grinding was listed in the catalogue of alternative imported products, and was rated as national new products in 1990.

In 1991

The machine won the Second Prize of Science and Technology Progress Award of Zhejiang Province and China Mechanical Science and Technology Progress Award and other awards. The same series of products HZ-088CNC linear rolling guide precision curved surface forming CNC grinding machine is the first batch of national 04 major special projects undertaken by Hangzhou Machinery. The main performance indexes of the products have reached the international advanced level, and it has been identified as the first set of products in China by the Provincial Economic and Information Technology Commission.

In 2001

On December 28, 2001, Hangzhou Machine Tool Factory and Hangzhou Radio Special Equipment Factory No.1 jointly restructured and established Hangzhou Machine Tool Group Co., Ltd. and the nature of the enterprise was changed from "national" to "private".

In 2006

In June 2006, together with Zhejiang Economic Construction Investment Co., Ltd., Hangzhou Fengqi Machine Tool Co., Ltd. (the predecessor of Hangji Machine Tool Co., Ltd.) invested in the construction of large-scale CNC machine tool production base in Lin'An economic development zone.

In 2008

It has undertaken the research and development tasks of 12 CNC special grinding machines for track plate of Beijing Shanghai high-speed railway and Shijiazhuang Wuhan high-speed railway (north section of Beijing Guangzhou high-speed railway), which not only provides key equipment for Beijing Shanghai high-speed railway, Shijiazhuang Wuhan high-speed railway and subsequent Shanghai Kunming high-speed railway line construction, but also provides comprehensive technical support for the normal operation of these machine tools.

In 2014

Designed for 2009 national Ministry of Science and Technology major science and technology projects of major equipment in 4 m of large diameter silicon carbide mirror development projects and the development of optical element HZ-091 CNC forming grinder, HZ-092 optical element grinding polishing machine, successful breakthrough of large caliber space optical mirror manufacturing process problems, breaking the foreign technology monopoly and blockade, for our country to develop large aspheric optical element provides the key processing equipment and technology guarantee, gave a big boost to the optical manufacturing to high grade, high level and high added value direction. HZ-092 won the Second Prize of Science and Technology of China Machinery Industry in 2014 and was selected as one of the "Top 10 Independent Innovation Products" in 2017 by China Machine Tool & Tool Industry Association.

In 2018

The company has implemented a strategic reorganization and started the site selection and construction of a new base for intelligent manufacturing.

In 2019

In December 2019, HZ-090CNC large linear guide grinder was successfully developed.

In 2020

MKL7150×10/37 end tooth CNC strength forming grinding machine has been successfully developed.

On June 9, 2020, the company started the relocation of the intelligent manufacturing base from Lin 'An to Pujiang.

On October 18, 2020, the company's intelligent manufacturing base was officially launched.
